智通财经获悉，世界上最大的油籽、玉米和小麦加工企业之一Archer-Daniels-Midland(ADM.US)表示，公司预计利润将连续第三年下降，因此将裁员。这家总部位于芝加哥的农作物交易商周二在一份声明中表示，该公司计划今年在全球裁员600至700人。这是在未来三到五年内实现高达7.5亿美元成本节约计划的一部分。
继规模更大的竞争对手嘉吉公司(Cargill Inc.)之后，ADM此前连续第二年利润下滑，原因是粮食库存反弹打压了价格，降低了交易商的谈判能力。ADM自身也面临着一场危机，其中包括一项会计调查，导致其市值蒸发数十亿美元。
首席执行官Juan Luciano在声明中表示：“随着2025年全球市场环境的疲软和政策的不确定性，我们将专注于提高运营绩效，加速节约成本，简化我们的投资组合。”
ADM表示，预计2025年调整后每股收益在4-4.75美元之间。这一预测的中值低于2024年的每股4.74美元，也低于分析师平均预测的每股4.66美元。
截至去年12月的三个月，调整后每股收益为1.14美元，较上年同期下降16%。虽然这与分析师平均预期相符，但这是自2018年以来最低的第四季度盈利。
