ADM Cuts Jobs Due to Tough Ag Market -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
04 Feb

0814 ET - Grain trader ADM says it is cutting 600 to 750 jobs globally in 2025 and plans to cut between $500 million and $750 million in costs over the next three to five years. The Chicago-based company that ships grain and processes crops into food ingredients, oil and biofuels says the cost cutting moves come during a challenging period for the agriculture industry, including low crop prices and "global legislative and regulatory policy uncertainty." The company reported adjusted EPS of $1.14, on par with analyst estimates. (patrick.thomas@wsj.com)
