McKesson (MCK) said Tuesday it has agreed to acquire a controlling interest in PRISM Vision Holdings from Quad-C for $850 million
McKesson will retain an 80% stake in the provider of ophthalmology and retina management services, while PRISM Vision physicians will hold the rest.
Upon closing, PRISM Vision is anticipated to add about $0.20 to $0.30 to McKesson's adjusted earnings per diluted share in the first 12 months, and $0.65 to $0.75 by the end of the third year, the company said.
The transaction will add 180 providers, 91 office locations, and seven ambulatory surgery centers to McKesson's platform.
