Shares fell 7.3% to $51.60, recovering slightly after reaching a 52-week low of $51.02.
The company, which manufactures aluminum packaging, reported sales of $2.88 billion, down slightly from $2.9 billion, due largely to softer sales in its North and Central American markets.
