Black Canyon (ASX:BCA) said reverse circulation infill drilling from the KR2 prospect in its Balfour manganese field project in Western Australia returned thick zones of manganese-enriched shale, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The results demonstrated manganese mineralization from surface to near-surface, including an intercept of 36 meters at 15.5% manganese from the surface, including 17 meters at 17.2% manganese from 13 meters.

The resource upgrade will allow it to update its scoping study to target improved cash flow.
