What To Expect From Paycor’s (PYCR) Q4 Earnings

Online payroll and human resource software provider Paycor (NASDAQ:PYCR) will be announcing earnings results tomorrow after the bell. Here’s what investors should know.

Paycor beat analysts’ revenue expectations by 3.3% last quarter, reporting revenues of $167.5 million, up 16.6% year on year. It was a strong quarter for the company, with an impressive beat of analysts’ EBITDA estimates and a solid beat of analysts’ billings estimates.

This quarter, analysts are expecting Paycor’s revenue to grow 11% year on year to $177.2 million, slowing from the 20.1% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $0.12 per share.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. Paycor has missed Wall Street’s revenue estimates three times over the last two years.

With Paycor being the first among its peers to report earnings this season, we don’t have anywhere else to look to get a hint at how this quarter will unravel for finance and HR software stocks. However, there has been positive investor sentiment in the segment, with share prices up 3.3% on average over the last month. Paycor is down 3.1% during the same time and is heading into earnings with an average analyst price target of $22.18 (compared to the current share price of $22.14).

While Nvidia and AMD are trading close to all-time highs, we prefer a lesser-known (but still profitable) semiconductor stock benefiting from the rise of AI.
