Electronic Arts (EA) said Monday it agreed to acquire sports optical tracking and analysis company Tracab Technologies.
The acquisition will support EA Sports' use of AI, machine learning, and real-time data to improve lifelike animation and game simulations', the company said.
The transaction is set to be finalized in EA's fiscal Q1 2026, it added.
Future plans include leveraging Tracab's volumetric data capture technologies to create new experiences in the EA Sports application, such as reimagined highlights and on-demand alternative broadcasts, Electronic Arts added.
Financial details were not disclosed.
