据知情人士透露，意法半导体正在考虑通过提前退休和自然减员的方式裁减人力多达6%左右，这家芯片制造商面临工业和汽车产业需求的持续低迷。

因信息未公开而要求匿名的知情人士透露，裁员计划最快将于2月宣布，讨论中的裁员人数在2000至3000人，意大利和法国的业务都将受到影响。知情人士称，这并非最终决定，减员的规模仍在评估中。

知情人士表示，意大利政府寻求限制重组对该国员工的影响。意大利政府与法国共同持有该公司27.5%的股份。

“未来几周，我们将开始与员工代表进行建设性的对话，商讨职业终期支持计划，以自愿为基础，包括提前退休，”公司的一位发言人称，该发言人拒绝进一步置评。法国财政部和意大利工业部的代表不予置评。

公司股价在巴黎时间13:18上涨1.5%，至21.55欧元。

该公司1月30日称2024年是整个行业几十年来最糟糕的年份之一，并预计第一季度营收低于分析师的预期。该公司没有提供全年展望，也打破了传统。

意法半导体于1987年通过合并法国和意大利的国有芯片制造商组建，被两国认为是战略性企业。公司为苹果、特斯拉等提供传统芯片，有超过50000名员工。
