GATX Raises Quarterly Dividend by 5.2%

GATX's board has raised the railcar lessor's quarterly dividend by 5.2%, to 61 cents from 58 cents.

The new payout, equal to $2.44 a year, represents an annual yield of about 1.47% based on Friday's midday price of $166.27, up from 1.4%.

The Chicago company said the increased dividend is payable March 31 to shareholders of record Feb. 28.
