Dow Jones
06 Feb

0722 GMT - The FTSE 100 is expected to open 73 points higher, or 0.9%, according to IG. The index closed 52 points higher, or 0.6%, to 8523 points Wednesday. Market sentiment across Europe and the U.S. has improved on waning trade tensions with President Trump, Swissquote Bank analyst Ipek Ozkardeskaya says in a note. Investors are also looking ahead to the latest policy decision from the Bank of England at 1200 GMT. The BOE is expected to lower interest rates by 25 basis points as U.K. Treasury chief Rachel Reeves's growth plans are "clouded by the country's restricted finances and the economy calls for BOE support," she says.(renae.dyer@wsj.com)
