Feb 7 - (The Insurer) - Sompo has hired AIG’s Lily Claydon as chief risk officer for Asia Pacific (APAC), effective 3 March 2025.
In her new role, Claydon will be responsible for leading Sompo’s APAC risk management, governance and analytics, in addition to developing talent and capabilities across the region.
She will report to Sompo International Holdings chief risk officer Emmanuel Brulé and APAC insurance CEO Kenneth Reilly. She will also join the APAC executive team, based in Singapore.
Claydon joins Sompo from AIG. Before that she held senior risk management roles at Bolttech Group and FWD Group.
Commenting on the hire, Brulé said: “We are very pleased to have Lily joining the Sompo risk team.
“She has extensive industry and market knowledge which, combined with the strong relationships she has with our key stakeholders, makes her perfectly placed to define and execute Sompo’s strategic risk management priorities to support our important APAC region.”
