Beijing Jingxi Culture & Tourism (SHE:000802) generated 1.01 billion yuan in box office revenues after the release of the movie The Second Part of the Conferred God: War in Xiqi on Jan. 29, according to a Shenzhen Stock Exchange disclosure on Wednesday.
The figures exceeded 50% of the operating income of the company's audited consolidated financial statements for the most recent fiscal year.
The Chinese tour operator's operating income from the film is expected to be between 90 million yuan and 120 million yuan as of Tuesday, Feb. 4, the disclosure said.
The company's shares dropped over 6% at the close.
