A joint venture between Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI, SoftBank Group and Oracle (ORCL) is close to choosing additional sites for data centers in Texas, while also considering more projects in other states, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing an OpenAI spokesperson.
The JV, called Stargate, is aiming to spend billions of dollars to amp up the artificial intelligence infrastructure in the US, the news outlet reported.
