L'Oreal Posts Increased Sales Despite Decline in China

L'Oreal posted higher sales with growth in all regions, except China.

The French beauty giant said Thursday that its sales amounted to 43.48 billion euros ($45.13 billion) in 2024, up 5.6% on-year and 5.1% on a like-for-like basis. In the fourth quarter alone, sales grew 2.5% on a like-for-like basis.

Sales in North Asia, which includes China, declined 3.2% on a like-for-like basis in 2024 to 10.30 billion euros, and 3.6% on a like-for-like basis to 2.87 billion euros in the fourth quarter.

Net profit stood at 6.41 billion euros for the year, up from 6.18 billion euros. Net cash flow reached 6.6 billion euros.

Operating profit rose to 8.69 billion euros from 8.14 billion euros, while the operating margin hit a record 20%.

The board declared a dividend of 7 euros, up 6.1%.
