Atlantic Union Bankshares (AUB) and Sandy Spring Bancorp (SASR) on Wednesday said that their respective shareholders approved the previously announced merger.
Sandy Spring will merge into Atlantic Union in an all-stock transaction.
The banks also confirmed they have received all required regulatory approvals, and the merger is expected to close on April 1.
