Seacon Shipping Group Holdings (HKG:2409) subsidiary Seacon Shipping agreed to novate its two shipbuilding contracts with Fujian Southeast Shipbuilding to Continental Kapital Tankers Holdings for $19.8 million, a Wednesday bourse filing said.

Seacon Shipping as the original buyer had contracted Fujian Southeast Shipbuilding as the seller for the construction of two 18,500 deadweight tonnage chemical/oil tankers in April 2024. The tankers are expected to be delivered by Dec. 31, 2025, and March 31, 2026.

Under the new agreement, Continental Kapital Tankers Holdings, as the new buyer, will take over the obligations of Seacon Shipping.
