安赛乐米塔尔（ArcelorMittal）周四表示，将在美国阿拉巴马州卡尔弗特（Calvert）建造一座先进的钢铁制造工厂，以提高产能，满足美国汽车行业的需求。
这家全球第二大钢铁制造商表示，该工厂每年将能够生产多达15万吨优质无晶粒取向电工钢（NOES），主要用于制造大型汽车、全尺寸皮卡和SUV。
该公司表示，美国对高端NOES的需求正在增长，而国内供应有限，这应该会支持新工厂生产的NOES的溢价前景。
安赛乐米塔尔表示，该工厂的建设成本估计为9亿美元，预计将于2027年下半年投产。
根据Wards Intelligence的数据，在混合动力车型的推动下，美国的新车销量在2024年达到了五年来的最高水平。
汽车制造商预计，强劲的销售势头将持续到2025年，尽管美国总统特朗普提出的汽车政策，如取消电动汽车的税收抵免，可能会给该行业带来不确定因素。
