Sunrise Energy Metals Updates New South Wales Scandium Project Resource Estimate; Shares Rise Over 4%

Sunrise Energy Metals (ASX:SRL) updated the mineral resource estimate for the firm's wholly-owned Syerston scandium project in New South Wales, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The updated resource estimate confirmed a global scandium resource comprising 60.3 million tonnes at 390 parts-per-million grade of scandium.

The estimate will form the basis of a development plan and updated feasibility study for a stand-alone scandium mine and processing facility.

The updated estimate is based on a total of 1,940 drill holes over 73,870 meters of drilling and includes 47,817 assays.

The firm's shares rose over 4% in recent trading on Wednesday.
