Benz Mining to Start Maiden Drill Program in Western Australian Gold Project, Shares Up 14%

Benz Mining (ASX: BNZ) is set to commence drilling at the end of this week at its Glenburgh gold project in Western Australia, the company said in a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The drilling will target high-grade gold extensions, including eight meters at 11.6 grams per tonne grade of gold from a depth of 187 meters and 24 meters at 9.1 g/t gold from 127 meters, the filing said.

The drilling operations are expected to continue throughout February and March, added the filing.

Company shares were up 14% in recent trade.
