2月7日，据知情人士透露，电动卡车制造商Nikola正接近申请破产。该公司股价在盘后交易中下跌20%，至0.60美元。
Nikola正与Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman律师事务所合作，探讨包括出售或重组公司在内的破产方案。
该公司一直在努力筹集资金，其现金余额也在减少，每卖出一辆卡车就会亏损数十万美元。
Nikola周四表示，正在评估各种选择，包括融资作为财务重组的一部分。
不过，该公司拒绝就是否正在寻求破产程序置评。
智通财经APP上个月报道称，这家电动卡车制造商正在探索各种选择，包括出售部分业务或整个公司。
截至2024年9月底，尼古拉的现金和现金等价物大幅下降至1.883亿美元，而2023年底为4.647亿美元。三个月前，Nikola在第三季度电话会议上警告投资者，该公司的现金只够支撑业务到2025年第一季度，但无法支撑到之后。截至去年第三季度末，Nikola公布了1.98亿美元的现金余额。
Nikola曾被称为卡车界的特斯拉，自2020年上市以来，其股价已经下跌了99%以上。Nikola于2020年6月以120亿美元的估值在纳斯达克上市，募资7亿美元，此后，公司市值最高超过240亿美元。
该股曾多次跌破1美元大关，为了遵守纳斯达克的上市规则，该公司进行了多次反向拆股。
