eBay (EBAY) said Thursday it completed the acquisition of Caramel, an online automotive transaction solution provider.
Caramel's technology platform handles all of the 'complexities of a vehicle sale, including paperwork, ownership transfer, financing, transportation, and more,' the online retailer said without disclosing the acquisition's financial details.
eBay added that Caramel will continue to operate through multiple platforms, including its own site and app, independent dealers, and marketplace and auction partners, while also helping simplify vehicle transactions on eBay.
