波音公司向SEC提交的年度10-K文件显示，其在CST-100 Starliner商业载人飞船项目上2024年损失达到5.23亿美元（约38.09亿元人民币），超过2019年的4.89亿美元。累计损失已突破20亿美元（约145.68亿元人民币）。这些损失主要是由于进度延迟、测试和认证成本增加以及认证后任务成本的上升所致。

根据之前的报告，波音第二季度亏损1.25亿美元，第三季度又亏损了2.5亿美元。该公司在1月23日警告称，第四季度将出现额外亏损，但未透露具体数字。根据年度亏损数据推算，第四季度的亏损约为1.48亿美元（约10.78亿元人民币）。

在1月30日NASA航天安全咨询委员会（ASAP）会议上，委员会成员保罗·希尔表示：“NASA分享的细节让我们相信，他们正专注于正确的核心问题，并制定了安全飞行Starliner的相关路径”，但他未透露关于Starliner再次升空时间安排的具体信息。

与此同时，有消息称波音正在考虑出售星际飞船Starliner等太空业务。
