Accenture (ACN) is discontinuing its global diversity and inclusion goals following an assessment of its internal policies and practices, as well as the US landscape, multiple media outlets reported Friday, citing an internal Accenture memo sent by chief executive officer Julie Sweet.
The company will begin to phase out its 2017 diversity goals, which included career development programs for people from specific demographic groups, Reuters reported, quoting the memo.
Accenture will also stop reporting data to external diversity benchmarking surveys, the news outlets said, citing Sweet as saying in the memo.
Accenture did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
