Hillgrove Resources (ASX:HGO) increased copper production in January from the Kanmantoo copper-gold mine in South Australia, according to an Australian bourse filing on Wednesday.
The company reported copper production of 903 tonnes in January, compared with a monthly average production of 879 tonnes in the December 2024 quarter.
It processed 99,000 tonnes of ore in the month, compared with a monthly average of 110,000 tonnes in the December 2024 quarter. However, it mined 115,000 tonnes of ore in January, compared with 104,000 tonnes on average each month in the December 2024 quarter.
The firm's shares rose almost 8% in recent trading on Wednesday.
