Macro Metals (ASX:M4M) unit Macro Mining Services has formed an Indigenous joint venture with Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation's unit, Robe River Services, the company said in an Australian bourse filing on Wednesday.
Robe River Services holds 51% of the issued share capital of the joint venture named Robe River Kuruma Macro Mining and Macro Mining Services the other 49%, the filing said.
The joint venture will enjoy 'preferred' status in the award of works on mining projects as a local Indigenous contracting business, particularly on Robe River Kuruma Country, the filing added.
Macro Metals shares were up 7% in recent trade.
