Aspen Technology's (AZPN) largest minority investor Elliott Investment Management plans to oppose Emerson Electric's (EMR) offer to buy the Aspen shares it does not already own at $265 each in cash, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing sources with knowledge of the details.

Elliott Investment Management has an over $1.50 billion stake in Aspen Technology, according to the report.

Elliott, Aspen and Emerson did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
