Estee Lauder (EL) expects to eliminate 5,800 to 7,000 job roles as part of a restructuring plan following its Q2 results.
The company said it expects continued volatility and low visibility in the near term due to challenges in its Asia travel retail business, subdued consumer sentiment in China and Korea, and evolving global geopolitical uncertainty.
Estee shares were down about 16%, with trading volume of over 14 million shares against a daily average of some 4.1 million.
