Nick Scali (ASX:NCK) reported Friday that its earnings per diluted share in the fiscal first half fell to AU$ 0.351, from AU$ 0.531 per diluted share a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting EPS of AU$0.306.
Group revenue for the six months Dec. 31, 2024, was AU$251.1 million, up nearly 11% from AU$226.6 million in the same period a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected AU$250.2 million.
In its UK operations, the furniture retailer expects the refurbishing and rebranding of eight new stores in the fiscal second half to cause further disruption and increase short-term losses in the second half compared with the first half.
The board declared an interim dividend of AU$0.30 per share, down over 14% from the AU$0.35 in the previous reported period, payable on Mar. 26 to shareholders on record as of Mar. 5.
