Kalgoorlie Gold Mining (ASX:KAL) announced the discovery of extensive gold mineralization at its Pinjin gold project in Western Australia, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
It identified mineralization over a 600-meter northwest-southeast strike length at the project, which is set to be renamed to Lighthorse, the filing said.
Thick, high-grade gold intercepts at the project included 17 meters at 4.81 grams-per-tonne grade of gold from 48 meters, including eight meters at 9.21 g/t grade of gold from 52 meters, with the hole ending in mineralization.
It said a priority follow-up reverse circulation drill program is being fast-tracked for March.
The firm's soared 252% in recent trading on Friday, reaching a two-year high.
