Chipotle Sees Minimal Impact from Potential Tariffs -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
06 Feb

1309 ET - Chipotle Mexican Grill outlines the impact tariffs might have on its business, depending how things play out. CFO Adam Rymer on an earnings call says if tariffs go into full effect, it would have an ongoing impact of about 60 basis points on the burrito chain's cost of sales. He notes Chipotle sourced about 2% of its sales from Mexico, which includes avocados, tomatoes, limes and peppers, while less than 0.5% of sales are from Canada and China. Rymer also says Chipotle is confident it can offset the potential headwind through investments made in 2024 including through efficiencies identified in its supply chain.
