Cleveland-Cliffs $(CLF)$, United States Steel $(X)$, Nucor $(NUE)$ and Alcoa $(AA)$: Shares of steel and aluminum producers rose in premarket trading, led by Cleveland-Cliffs, after President Trump imposed tariffs on both metals. The stocks had also jumped Monday in anticipation of the levies.
Super Micro Computer $(SMCI)$: The company is due to report earnings after the close. Shares in Super Micro, which makes servers used for generative AI, have been volatile in recent months amid scrutiny of its accounting practices. The stock fell premarket.
Phillips 66 (PSX): Activist Elliott Investment Management has built a $2.5 billion-plus stake in the U.S. oil refiner, and plans to push for operational changes, The Wall Street Journal reported. Shares rose in thin premarket trading.
BP (UK:BP), $(BP)$: The British oil-and-gas company, which is also being targeted by Elliott, said profit fell more than expected and it would reset its strategy. Shares ticked up.
UniCredit (IT:UCG), $(UNCRY)$: The Italian bank guided for stable profit this year, despite a likely dip in revenue, and promised greater shareholder returns. Shares in UniCredit, which is pursuing deals at home and abroad, fell more than 3%.
Kering (FR:KER), $(PPRUF)$: Shares of the French luxury group rose about 2% in Europe it after reported revenue that fell by less than analysts expected. Last week the company parted ways with the creative head of its Gucci brand.
DuPont de Nemours $(DD)$, Humana $(HUM.UK)$, Coca-Cola $(KO)$ and Marriott International $(MAR)$ are among the companies that will report earnings before the opening bell. Lyft $(LYFT)$ results are due after the close.
