消息面上，2月9日，东风集团股份公布，控股股东东风公司正与其他国资央企集团筹划重组事项。本次重组可能导致公司控股股东发生变更，但不会导致实际控制人发生变更，不会对公司正常生产经营活动构成重大影响。值得注意的是，长安汽车同日也发布了类似公告，称其间接控股股东兵器装备集团正在与其他国资央企集团筹划重组事项。有观点认为，东风集团和长安汽车或将联合重组。东风集团相关负责人回应称：“以目前公告内容为准，目前尚处于筹划阶段。”
