渣打银行(香港)作为做巿商、投资者及客户回购服务供应商，今日(10日)早上成功与中信证券国际资本管理有限公司、广发全球资本有限公司及东卫资产管理私人有限公司等金融机构客户，首次以“债券通”(北向通)债券作为抵押品，在香港进行人民币回购业务，支持中国人民银行与香港金融管理局进一步完善离岸人民币流动性巿场化的安排机制。
渣打银行香港、大中华及北亚区金融市场及战略客户主管曾继志表示，很高兴成为首批银行之一协助客户利用债券通北向通债券作为抵押品，进行离岸人民币回购，取得人民币流动性，有效盘活境外投资者的在岸债券持仓，提升资本效率，整体提升人民币资产对国际投资者的吸引力，进一步巩固香港作为离岸人民币业务中心的领先地位。
他透露，自从监管机构于上月宣布有关离岸人民币债券回购的新安排后，迅即接获不少客户查询，部分表明有意参与交易，预计新的回购安排将成为投资者恒常管理人民币资产的金融工具。(gc/da)
