NHPC (NSE:NHPC, BOM:533098) witnessed a decline in its consolidated attributable net profit to 2.74 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2024, against 5.42 billion rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share contracted to 0.23 rupees compared with 0.48 rupees, according to a Friday filing to the Indian stock exchanges by the hydroelectric power company.
Revenue from operations in fiscal Q3, however, increased to 22.9 billion rupees from 20.6 billion rupees a year earlier.
The company's board declared an interim dividend at the rate of 1.40 rupees per equity share on the face value of 10 rupees each for the financial year 2024-25.
Shares of the company were down over 1% in recent trade.
