Feb 10 - (The Insurer) - London MGU Carbon Underwriting has added industry veterans Michael Watson and Paddy Byrne to its board of directors.
The appointments of Watson and Byrne as non-executive director and non-executive chairman, respectively, coincide with the planned departure of chairman Rupert Atkin.
Watson previously founded Canopius and has served as a member of the Council of Lloyd's, while Byrne has served as senior non-executive director at SRS Group and UK executive director at Xchanging Ltd.
In their new roles, the duo will work alongside Carbon investor Apiary Capital to enhance the firm’s ability to deliver innovative solutions to the international coverholder market.
