智通财经APP获悉，T-Mobile(TMUS.US)宣布在美国推出首个由SpaceX旗下星链(Starlink)支持的太空移动网络的公测版。
此次公测面向美国所有无线用户开放，包括竞争对手电信公司Verizon(VZ.US)和AT&T(T.US)的客户，均可免费注册并体验，直至7月。
“在公测期间，用户可以发送和接收由卫星支持的短信，数据和语音功能将在后续推出，”T-Mobile表示。
T-Mobile Starlink利用环绕地球运行的、具备直连手机(Direct-to-Cell)功能的卫星来传输手机信号。该公司表示：“当用户的手机超出地面基站覆盖范围时，手机将自动连接到T-Mobile Starlink网络，无需手动操作。”
7月服务正式上线后，T-Mobile Starlink将免费集成于Go5G Next和Go5G Business Next套餐中。其他套餐的T-Mobile用户可以以每月每条线路15美元的价格添加该服务。对于Verizon和AT&T的客户，该服务的月费为每条线路20美元。
参与公测的用户在服务正式上线时将享受33%的折扣，该优惠将持续至2月。
“我们将持续邀请用户参与公测，以帮助我们测试系统并提供反馈，为7月的正式上线做好准备，”T-Mobile补充道。
周一美股盘前，截至发稿，T-Mobile股价涨约4%。
