Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries (NSE:DALMIASUG, BOM:500097) witnessed a decline in its consolidated net profit to 595.1 million Indian rupees in the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 22024, against 649.2 million rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share contracted to 7.35 rupees compared with the year-ago figure of 8.02 rupees, according to a Tuesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges by the sugar manufacturer.
Revenue from operations in fiscal Q3, however, increased to 8.41 billion rupees from 5.84 billion rupees a year earlier.
The company's board declared an interim dividend of 4.50 rupees per equity share of 2 rupees for the financial year 2024-2025.
