Dasin Retail Trust (SGX:CEDU) will no longer convene an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) following advice from its legal team, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
Gathering unitholders for an EGM would likely result in a breach of the Singapore court order.
In an earlier filing, the trust had secured a Singapore court order affirming an interim arbitration ruling that blocks attempts to remove its trustee-manager.
The ruling, sought by New Harvest Investments, bars Zhang Zhencheng, Aqua Wealth, and their affiliates from calling or voting in EGMs to replace the trustee-manager.
Shares of the trust surged over 26% in recent trading.
