Suncorp Group (ASX:SUN) reported Wednesday fiscal first-half 2024 cash earnings of AU$0.67 per diluted share, up from AU$0.55 per diluted share a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha expected AU$0.59.
Revenue from ordinary activities for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2024, rose past 11% year over year to AU$8.38 billion.
The company expects fiscal 2025 gross written premiums to be in the mid to high single digits and underlying insurance trading ratio to remain towards the top of the 10% to 12% range.
The board declared an interim dividend of AU$0.41 per share, up from AU$0.34 in the previously reported period, payable March 14 to shareholders on record as of Feb. 18. It also declared a special dividend of AU$0.22 per share, with the same record and payment dates.
