Consumer stocks fell pre-bell Wednesday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) 0.7% lower and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) recently down 1%.
Kraft Heinz (KHC) shares fell past 6% after the company reported a decline in fiscal Q4 revenue. The company also issued a fiscal 2025 guidance for adjusted earnings per share below analysts' expectations.
Smurfit Westrock (SW) shares declined nearly 6% after the company reported higher Q4 earnings and net sales that still missed analysts' expectations.
Restaurant Brands International (QSR) shares were up nearly 2% after the company reported higher Q4 adjusted earnings and revenue. The company also raised its quarterly dividend.
