Trek Metals (ASX:TKM) encountered high-grade manganese from recent early-stage exploration at the Hendeka Manganese Project located in Western Australia, it said in a filing made Monday.
Rock chip samples exceeded 30% manganese, with a peak assay of 51.8% manganese confirmed over a 3.5-kilometer strike and the company is advancing towards drill-ready status, the filing added.
The mining firm will drill targeting and geophysical surveys to refine high-priority targets for upcoming drill programs, the filing added.
Company shares were up 17% in recent trade.
