对于美国向华加征额外关税，星展银行(香港)行政总裁庞华毅表示，相关关税对中国GDP影响非常小，仅为约0.3%，认为现时关税的影响不大。

他表示，去年11月该行在不良贷款方面的表现较业界为佳，业界普遍不良贷款大多来自房地产等行业，而中小企在该行的不良贷款的占比上较多，随着美国加征关税可能影响通胀，减息预期有所降温，预期今年美国会将会在下半年进行两次减息。

他表示，尽管该行预期房地产市场将持续疲软，内地及香港的房地产市场情况正在好转，但当中难免会有部分相关公司出现问题，并指该行在过去几年非常保守地管理其投资组合，采取非常积极的行动来减少潜在疲软的企业，并形容相关情况基本已稳定下来。

星展银行(香港)财务总监陈立珊表示，由于香港及内地的息差差距较大，或有较多人会选择在内地进行借贷，该行料美国在今年下半年减息两次，利率水平或维持在较高水平，故预期今年香港的贷款增长不会有太大进展，又指该行在住宅按揭贷款方面的占比较同业为少，住宅按揭占该行在香港的按揭贷款为7%。
