Alibaba (HKG:9988) founder Jack Ma visited the offices of China's largest online marketplace for second-hand merchandise Xianyu, the South China Morning Post reported Tuesday.
Ma's visit comes as Alibaba is pushing forward its artificial intelligence agenda, the report said.
The e-commerce giant has been using Xianyu as a testing field for its AI technologies, such as its presale credit rating for sellers, release of idle items, and aftersales, the report said.
The technologies are based on Alibaba's Qwen large language model, the SCMP said.
Alibaba established Xianyu in 2014 to draw Chinese consumers to buy online, the SCMP reported.
