智通财经获悉，默克公司(Merck KGaA)表示，收购美国癌症和罕见疾病制药公司SpringWorks Therapeutics(SWTX.US)的谈判正在进行中，这使得这家美国癌症和罕见疾病制药公司的股价周一飙升34%，市值超过40亿美元。消息人士称，双方可能在未来几周内签署协议。总部位于德国的默克公司证实了这一报道。SpringWorks的一种药物Ogsiveo在美国被批准用于治疗成人结缔组织肿瘤。
默克公司曾多次表示，在疫情期间积累了数十亿美元的交易火力后，它正在探索收购，当时它大量生产了用于新冠疫苗、疗法和测试的产品。这家德国企业集团上一次签署数十亿美元的交易是在2019年，当时它收购了Versum Materials Inc.，以支撑其电子部门。
默克发言人在一封电子邮件中表示，双方尚未达成具有法律约束力的协议，“关键条件尚未满足”。他说，目前还不确定是否会达成任何交易。
默克制药部门面临着一些挑战，此前几项实验性药物备受瞩目的失败，以及最畅销的多发性硬化症药物Mavenclad的专利即将到期。彭博分析师Michael Shah在一份报告中表示，收购SpringWorks将补充默克的肿瘤业务，到2030年，每年的销售额可能会增加15亿欧元(15.5亿美元)。
