Sarama Resources (ASX:SRR) started a multi-stage regional soil-geochemistry program at its 80%-owned Cosmo gold project in Western Australia, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The mineral explorer said the program is the "most significant" exploration work on the project in several decades. Initial activities will focus on areas with recently identified large-scale structural features and lithological contacts, per the filing.
Historical prospecting activities returned up to 52 grams per tonne grade of gold based on surface grab samples.
