BlockBeats 消息，2 月 11 日，Sonic Labs 创始人 Andre Cronje 近日于 X 发文批评了以太坊 L2 解决方案对利润的处理以及与以太坊去中心化原则的潜在不一致，“我不明白以太坊用户是如何说服自己的。L2 是以太坊再次通胀的原因。”
此事争论的焦点是以太坊扩容的两种相互竞争的愿景。批评者认为，L2 产生了可观的收入，但只向以太坊返还了一小部分数据可用性和安全性。
包括 Cronje 在内的去中心化扩容的支持者主张直接使用 Sonic 等解决方案来增强以太坊的基础层，以减少对外部 L2 提供商的依赖。
CryptoQuant 研究主管 Julio Moreno 指出，以太坊的供应量现已超过合并前的水平（2022 年 9 月），证实了该网络已恢复通胀。为了解决以太坊 L2 解决方案的低效率问题，Cronje 提出利用 Sonic 的技术来绕过中心化模型的限制。
