智通财经APP获悉，美国管道运营商Energy Transfer(ET.US)将直接向CloudBurst Data Centers提供天然气，以应对人工智能(AI)带来的电力需求激增。
Energy Transfer周一在声明中表示，其Oasis Pipeline, LP将每天提供多达450,000 百万英热单位的天然气，为位于德克萨斯州圣马科斯郊外的CloudBurst数据中心园区供电。这条管道将绕过现有的输电网，直接向数据中心输送电力。
天然气工厂运营商、生产商和管道公司正在争夺机会，以满足人工智能的能源需求。天然气发电厂已成为最具竞争力的电力解决方案，因为它们比反应堆更便宜、建造速度更快，而且与风能和太阳能不同，它们可以全天候运行。
根据声明，此次交易标志着Energy Transfer首次与数据中心达成长期直接供应天然气的协议。该公司计划为更多的数据中心提供天然气。
根据声明，天然气供应将足以产生1.2千兆瓦电力，至少可使用10年。这通常足以为州电网的约24万户家庭供电。两家公司预计该设施将于2026年第三季度投入运营。
据悉，CloudBurst为人工智能设计、建造和运营能源基础设施。
截至周一美股收盘，Energy Transfer涨0.8%。该股今年以来累计上涨4.2%。
