智通财经APP获悉,美国电动汽车新贵Rivian Automotive (RIVN.US)周一表示,将向美国各种规模的汽车车队开放Rivian Commercial Van商用电动化厢式货车的销售,表明该公司正在积极扩展商业车队市场。
据了解,Rivian Commercial Van是亚马逊定制版电动送货专车(EDV)的基础平台。
自Rivian和该公司支持者亚马逊的独家经营期结束以来,Rivian一直在美国的几个大型车队中试用其商用厢式货车,并为更加大众化的市场准备车队管理流程。这些试点项目为Rivian进一步开展销售业务铺平了道路。
未来,这一渠道有望成为Rivian的重要创收来源。商用电动货车市场正在快速增长,Mordor Intelligence的一份研究报告显示,该机构预计到2029年,北美厢式货车市场规模有望达到166.7亿美元。
Rivian通过向各规模的车队销售商用厢式货车,能够满足不同客户的需求,拓展Rivian商用厢式货车市场份额以及整体销售额,此前很长一段时间,这些大型厢式货车仅限于与亚马逊的独家协议。此外,商用货车通常具有更高的利润率,Rivian还可以通过提供电动汽车软件订阅服务等智能化增值服务,进一步提升销售额。
