英国石油公司（BP）首席执行官默里·奥金克洛斯（Murray Auchincloss）在激进投资者Elliott持股后承诺提升业绩。

　　公司已承诺“从根本上重置”其战略并提升业绩，此前这家陷入困境的石油巨头报告称去年最后一个季度的利润大幅下降。该公司周二报告称，当季基础利润为11.7亿美元，较上一季度下降约一半，且远低于2023年第四季度的29.9亿美元。

　　奥金克洛斯周二在一份声明中承诺将增加“现金流和回报”，并表示他将在2月26日的投资者日上公布“BP的新方向”。

　　本周，英国石油公司的压力进一步加剧，此前有消息称美国激进投资者Elliott Management已持有该公司股份。尽管Elliott的持股规模尚不清楚，但另一位英国石油公司股东表示，Elliott的持股意味着公司现在必须做出改变。
