A consortium of water technology company VA Tech Wabag (NSE:WABAG, BOM:533269) has secured an order worth $371 million for Al Haer Independent Sewage Treatment Plant at Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to a Sunday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
The contract has been given by Al Haer Environmental Services Company for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 200 MLD of the sewage treatment plant including connections to outfall delivery facilities.
The EPC consortium for this project comprises VA Tech and Mutlaq Al-Ghowairi Contracting Company, in which the Indian company will be the leader and will design and build the plant.
Mutlaq Al-Ghowairi will undertake the scope of laying the transmission pipelines and construction of the reservoirs.
Shares of the company were up nearly 2% in recent trade.
